Hey Lauren,
I loved this presentation on sonographers in the clinical setting! It was so informative and gave a brief overview of a lot of aspects of what involves working with patients every day. I really like the discussion about HIPPA and the regulations that are apart of it. Overall really nice job!! 🙂

Hi Laure!
Great video and topic to talk about! I loved how informative this presentation was and how much you were able to talk about. I think this presentation is not only important for people working in the healthcare field but also people that are patients, sometimes we have patients that are confused with all the paper work and how many times we ask names during there appointment and this presentation would be great for everyone to get informed for exactly the reason of why we do the things we do.
You did a amazing job☺️

Hey Lauren!
This was a really great presentation that provided a lot of important information! Obtaining the correct patient information such as patient identifiers and their medical history is crucial so that we as sonographers know that we are scanning the correct patient as well as knowing what we are trying to look for during the exams. Your discussion on HIPAA was also very informative. It is important that we protect patient privacy and not disclose any of their information to anyone who isn’t authorized. Also, I didn’t know about the Breach Notification Rule so it was interesting to learn about. It’s an important rule to know when working in health care especially since there is always a possibility of patient information being breached.

Lauren,
I really enjoyed how you formatted your presentation and broke down all the aspects of sonographers in the clinical setting. Working in healthcare gives us a unique viewpoint and helps us understand things that the general public probably doesn’t, so ensuring that all steps are taken for informed consent is so important to make sure that everyone has all of the information available to them! I feel like there isn’t a lot of light shed on the daily duties that are involved in being a sonographer, and I think that you did a great job of explaining some of the things that we frequently deal with during our days. All of the information you included from ergonomics to HIPPA was all very insightful. Awesome job!

Great presentation Lauren! There are so many aspects of sonographers in the clinical setting but you did a great job summarizing some of the main aspects. Restating what you said in your presentation that over 3/4 of sonographers experience pain from WRMSK! Such a great reminder of why ergonomics are so important as sonographers and why we stress the importance of taking that extra time at the beginning of every exam to ensure that we are reducing unnecessary strain, etc. Good job!

Hi Lauren,
This presentation and the topic you chose are fascinating to discuss. It was very informative, covering a lot of valuable information. I was very pleased with the way you organized the slides and thoroughly explaining the roles of sonographers in the clinical setting. Your breakdown of the different responsibilities for us as sonographers was very clear, which helped me better understand the topic. This topic is not only valuable to us as sonographers but also to the patients. Most importantly, I like how you discussed the importance of ergonomics. I have noticed that occasionally I do not always practice good ergonomics like I should due to me trying to focus hard on each exam so I can improve but I start to feel my shoulder hurt sometimes after a long day of scanning. This presentation was a good reminder to practice ergonomics every day and take that extra time before each exam. Excellent job Lauren, thank you for sharing!
