Students can post work online anytime during the semester. Beginning Wednesday, December 4, the LCC community will be invited to view presentations and add comments.

1. Decide How to Present Your Information

On this website, you can’t share documents (Word, PowerPoint, PDF), instead share: Images, Text + Image, Video, or Audio.

View examples of different types of presentations with instructions:

Image

View other student’s posters and learn how to create a digital poster. Or if you have a short text or an illustration, use the snipping tool to take a screenshot.

Text + Image

If you have a paper to share that is mostly text, find an image related to your topic to share on this website and put the text of your paper as the description. Or if you have a presentation (PowerPoint or Google Slides), save the first slide as an image or find a relevant image and write a paragraph linking to your complete presentation as in this example. Here are more examples of image+text presentations. Remember to set permissions to share your PowerPoint or share your Google Slides so that they can be viewed by others.

Video

View other students slideshows with audio. First, record a Powerpoint presentation. Then, upload your presentation to a video sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo. You will use the video URL to add it to this site.

Audio

You can share audio which is already recorded or use the built-in recorder to record audio directly on the website; for example, here is a poetry reading that was recorded on this website.

2. Visit Add Your Presentation

Your presentation will be automatically added to the website after you fill out and submit the information on the webpage.

To make your presentation accessible to all:

  • Images – Add a description in the ALT text box. See ALT text writing tips.
  • Poster Presentation – Include the poster text in the Description box.
  • Videos – YouTube adds automatic captions. Edit the captions if needed.
  • Audio – Include the text of the poem or prose in the Description box.

3. Check Your Info and Submit

Click on the check your info button to make sure everything is working. Click submit and your presentation will be added to the website.
