Welcome, to my Starscapes presentation. This is a presentation about Ultrasound Hemodynamics and types of flow. I am currently in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and have done a presentation for my physics course on the types of flow that we see in ultrasound. I briefly go through each flow and what you may see or how they work. I also touch on a few key terms that are important when talking about the types of flow. Hopefully you enjoy the presentation and learn something new! Enjoy!

Hey Sadie!
Nice presentation. I think you did a good job describing the different types of flows seen within the body. It was really helpful that you broke it down to its simples form. This was one of the chapters I struggled the most with and your presentation was very helpful with describing how the different flows work. The images you had were helpful as well. I know that waveforms is something that I’m always asking my preceptors about because I don’t really understand them well. Good job!

I really enjoyed your presentation and this is one of the chapters I spent quite some time on studying. Your PowerPoint was a nice refresher since mid terms are coming up this was very helpful. I actually enjoyed learning and reading about this topic because it’s not something I really look at, at my clinical site.

Hi Sadie, you did an awesome job on your presentation! You did a good job explaining the different types of flow that can be found in the body. I like that you explained what turbulent and laminar flow was first and then mentioned that they can be found in vessels with pulsatile, phasic or steady flow! I found the images you used very helpful in understanding the different types of flow as well. Overall, your presentation was a nice refresher on what we learned about flow in physics this semester and will be very useful as a review for our final that is coming up!
