Hello jessica, your presentation on ergonomics was so informative. The pictures and explaining of how the person is standing or sitting correctly or incorrectly was very helpful! Ergonomics in any health care field is extremely important to pay attention to everyday since our jobs are a lot of repetitive motions everyday! Overall great presentation Jessica!

Hello Jessica, I think you did a great job informing others of how important ergonomics are when working in the Ultrasound field. Along with in general. I like how you added in the chart of common injury areas and the causes. With Ultrasound you hit all the important injuries that could occur if we use poor ergonomics. Including shoulder, neck, wrist, back, and hands. I think its helpful that you explained some of the musculoskeletal signs of when your ergonomics may be poor. Like muscle twitches, tingling in hands or fingers, and even aching shoulders and back. Great work on this, I learned a lot!

Hello Jessica! I found your presentation to be very insightful and informative. Your slide on improving ergonomics, gave me a lot of helpful tips that I hadn’t considered. I usually don’t stand for every exam, however I often find that I stand more than I sit. Somedays I do feel sore in my lower back and neck after a full day of standing. I have to try and remind myself to alternate more often. Nice job on this!

Hi Jessica,
You did a great job with your presentation. People don’t really understand why ergonomics are so important to be aware of. I definitely did not ever think about ergonomics before entering the ultrasound program. While at my clinical site I can definitely tell if I have not been scanning ergonomically correct because certain parts of my body especially will be extra sore. This is a great subject to do a presentation on. Great job!
