Hi Heather! This presentation was a very good review on what we learned a while ago. I think it is amazing how far ultrasound has progressed since some of the images of the ultrasound machines you showed. Ultrasound today is such high resolution and quality, it seems crazy that it was once an analog bistable system. It can be clearly seen such a huge difference between the bistable image (that only has 2 shades, white and black) and the multiple bit image, which has many shades of gray that can more accurately show the anatomy that we are looking at. You did a good job describing pixels and resolution and how they relate to ultrasound and all of the shades of gray that we use.

Hi Heather! I really enjoyed your presentation! I like how you discussed the history of ultrasound, it puts everything into perspective where the field started to where we are now. Your presentation was good review on the topic of bistable imaging and the discussion of pixels and resolution. As sonographers, it is important for us to have a good understanding of this topic. Great presentation!

Hi Heather! The picture you showed of the first ultrasound was really cool and I like how you discussed the origin of ultrasound. I think that you explained really well the science behind how the images we see on our machines everyday are made. I can’t believe how far we’ve come and the difference between the bistable and gray scale images you showed. I think your presentation was great!
