Nice presentation Becca! Every portion was thoroughly explained and the visual aids makes it easier for people to understand even if they don’t understand all the background logic. I like that you chose this topic because it shows that there is more than just looking at images during an exam. The sonographer has a great deal of responsibility in understanding these principles; how to fix them when needed, when to keep them for a diagnosis, and to how to know the difference.

Hello Becca, Your presentation did a great job of explaining the artifact that we see when imaging in ultrasound. I think that if I would have watched your presentation before our last quiz it would have really put me over the top for understanding the material. I like how you explain our everyday terms like anechoic, hyperechoic, and many more. Those are terms used daily and it was a good reminder. I think it helps people whoa re not in the ultrasound program understand the meanings. Along with how you used images to show shadowing and edge shadow and more. It really helps us visualize what it looks like when we scan. Great job on this presentation! It’s amazing!

Hi Becca! You explained each artifact so well in this presentation, it really helped me understand each better. I specifically struggled with understanding Refraction and the actual physics behind it. After hearing your section on it, I feel like I have a much better grasp on what it is and how it affects the ultrasound image. I also found all of the pictures you used to be very helpful and informative. It always helps when you can see great examples of what is being discussed. Nice Job!
