The Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run also known as the Cleveland Torso Murderer is one of America’s oldest unsolved cold cases to date. Often referred to as one of America’s first serial killers the killer took 12 lives during his years of terror in the slums of Cleveland, Ohio. In this presentation I dig into the case telling all the nitty gritty details about the victims found during the late 1930s.

I found this article to be very informative on cold cases and how it’s important to still keep them relevant because it can be helpful. I had never heard about this case before and it caught my eye because I live pretty close to Ohio. This case had 12 victims and still to this day it’s a little confusing, cases like this are hard. Without certain people coming forward or DNA, we will never know the right answers. It is crazy to think that murders done 100s of years ago could maybe have a higher chance of figuring it out due to new technology.
