For a class project in ENGL 208 Children’s Literature, we were asked to select a poem for children or young adults and to “illustrate” it on the page to appeal to young readers.
The Crocodile
by Lewis Carroll
How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly speads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!

I like the poem you used to recreate with illustrations. It brings life to the words and keeps your eyes moving across the lines.
