This poetry illustration is from one of my assignments in Children’s Literature where we were instructed to make a poem appealing for children. I hope you enjoy viewing this as much as I enjoyed making it!
Autumn
by Alexander Posey
In the dreamy silence
Of the afternoon, a
Cloth of gold is woven
Over wood and prairie;
And the jaybird, newly
Fallen from the heaven,
Scatters cordial greetings,
And the air is filled with
Scarlet leaves, that, dropping,
Rise again, as ever,
With a useless sigh for
Rest—and it is Autumn.

I love how the words are doing the actions that they describe. Like how scatters is actually scattered. I would love to know how you got the word to scatter on your computer!
